Blogging about bloggers...

I had the most awesome day. I've been so down about this whole no-job thing. Today, I hardly thought about it at all.

I went to Chez Coma. Before I talk about the actual visit, let me give y'all some advice: do not use MapQuest's directions if you're heading out to Newscoma's place, because it will send you all over hell and back. I did get to see beautiful (for real!) downtown Paris, TN, and beautiful (sarcasm) downtown Camden, TN. But, seriously, MapQuest's directions take you WAY out of your way.

From the second I walked in the door, I was made completely welcome. I'm telling you, these people have hospitality down to a "T". I got to meet the fabulous, wonderful Homer and Squeegee Monkey, I got to hang out with 'Coma and SQ, and my kids hit it off so well with 'Coma's faboo nieces.

The kids played, we had some great chili, and we talked and talked and talked. Yes, we talked about you. All of you. Muahahahaha! What was said at 'Coma's, stays at 'Coma's. ;) Well, except this:

Me: Have you ever read The Zero Boss?
Newscoma: I don't really read a whole lot of mommy bloggers.

Hee hee!

Once again, I must say this blogging thing has been the most wonderful fucking thing ever. There are a million little reasons I blog, but the best one of all is all the great people I have met and the friends that I have made. And yeah, I mean *friends*. People you can email and go, "I need a short road trip, can I come up to your place?" and they're all, "Come on!!" God, I love that.

Well, I misunderstood that question, didn't I? As we were talking about mommy bloggers at the time, I just assumed.
Next time I'll just say no.
I hope this made me charming:)
We had a great time, didn't we?

Hey, they have drunk blogging.
I've been missing out!
Cool. You need to send me more places to go.

yeah it is kind of crazy how close bloggers can become. Wait, what am I saying? In almost two years I have yet to meet any of yall irl! (except Sam Davidson, that is. I need to change that...

Meeting the NC and Steph is an unmitigated treat. Just for those two alone, my blogging has been worthwhile...along with a certain blogging FRIEND named Ivy (o;

Jeffrey - I was just at Sam and Lynnette's tonight. You oughta come over and meet at least one or two more bloggers!

ha ha, sounds like fun john. Let me know when yall get together again and, if no one minds, perhaps my wife and I can crash the party as well...

Blogger The Zero Boss Says:

Gee, thanks for neutering me, Coma. :)

I'm used to it, though. My nick on IRC used to be "JayA", which is apparently a short form of an Indian woman's name. I got some...interesting propositions.

Blogger Lynnster Says:

Yep... my two hometowns are vastly different in their downtown area, aren't they? I have always loved downtown Paris and since our family drugstore was on the court square for years and years, I literally grew up with downtown Paris as my playground. My mom's house now is just a few blocks from the court square and I love that she lives downtown there now. Camden's square is not nearly so nice at all, nope... but to be fair I guess, Benton County doesn't really have the kind of money Henry County pulls in annually, I reckon it kinda shows...

Blogger newscoma Says:

Hey Zero,
No neutering here, I was the idiot girl. Ivy gave me the gift of coming over to your place on the tubes.
Proof once again that I am extremely unhip.
